The Irish Blood Transfusion Service have teamed up with the GAA to promote the donation of blood by members of GAA Clubs and communities around the Country. This is a very improtant matter as 70000 people need blood donations each year. Blood has a shelf life of 35 days and the IBTS need 3000 blood donations each week. 1 in 4 of us will need a blood transfusion at some point in our lives so this is something that may be very relevant for us in the future. This iniative hopes to achieve an additional 20 to 30 donations per clinc which would mean 4000 to 5000 extra donations each year in Connacht alone. The knock-on effect of such an increase would be phenomenal. There will be a clinic in Kiltimagh on Thursday the 4th April next at the Park Hotel from 5pm to 8.30pm. We would ask all club members to consider attending and donating. This is something that could be of great benefit to a family member, friend or neighbour. Anybody who would like to give blood but may not be able to attend on the 4th April 2013 and wishes to get more information about blood donation can consult the IBTS's website at www.giveblood.ie or can telephone the Area Office in Tuam at 093 70832.

Kiltimagh play Charlestown in the Centenary Cup Final on Saturday 23rd March 2013 in Kiltimagh at 3.30pm.

Well Done to Laura Carroll who made her debut for Mayo Ladies U14 team on Saturday the 9th March 2013 against Donegal. Laura lined out at wing back and played well in a comfortable win for Mayo.

Kiltimagh 2-9 Ballaghadereen 2-6: Kiltimagh had a great win over senior County champions, Ballaghadereen in Ballaghadereen on Sunday 10th March 2013. This is Kiltimagh's third win on the trot in the competition and they now meet Charlestown in the final. That game will probably be played on the weekend of the 24th March 2013.

The draw for this year's championships took place on Monday the 4^th March last.

Ballyhaunis and Kiltimagh will be sick of each other having been drawn against each other again in this year's intermediate championship. Kiltimagh, Ballyhaunis, Kiltane and Achill vie for the 2 quarter-final spots in this very tough group. Kiltimagh have home advantage against Ballyhaunis this year and they meet on the 29^th May 2013. Kiltimagh are away to Achill on the 22 June 2013 and then they round off the group stage with a home tie against Kiltane on the 6^th July 2013. An interesting campaign certainly lies ahead.

In the Junior B Championship, Kiltimagh are joined by neighbours, Moy Davitts and by Mayo Gaels and Garrymore. They are at home to Mayo Gaels on the 1^st June 2013 and then away to Garrymore the following weekend of the 8^th June 2013. The final game is against Moy Davitts in Kiltimagh on the 29^th June 2013.

The Division 1F game v Kilfian has been brought forward from the 20th April to the 13th April 2013. The game is in Kiltimagh and will start at 6pm.

There will be a registration and presentation disco in the Park Hotel, Thursday 28^th February 2013, 6.30pm to 9pm. There will be a presentation to the Boys U14 team who won the County Championship in 2012. The registration and presentation will take place from 6.30pm to 7.30pm followed by a disco 7.30pm to 9pm.The club registration fee for this year is again €50 per child or a max of €100 for two or more children. Completed registration forms and fees will be collected on the night of the Disco from all players.

Kiltimagh 3-8 Swinford 0-7 ;Kiltimagh beat Swinford in their first game in the 2013 Centenary Cup.

They will now play Ballaghadereen and Ballyhaunis in the Centenary Cup over the next 2 weekends before they commence their league campaign on the 31^st March 2013 at home to Kiltane.
