Kiltimagh U14s Lose Out in Feile Semis
Apr 23, 2011, 5:12 pm

Kiltimagh 4-9 The Neale 4-5: Kiltimagh had a narrow win in the Feile Tournament Quarter Final, played in Castlebar on Saturday 23rd April 2011. A very strong wind, blowing right down the pitch from one end to the other, made for very difficult conditions for the teams. Kiltimagh were 3-5 to 2-1 down at the break but they made enough of the wind in the second half to clinch a place in the semi-final aginst Breaffy.

Kiltimagh 2-5 Breaffy 2-7: In the semi, Kiltimagh played with the benefit of the breeze in the first half but an uninspired first half performance meant the wind was of little assistance to them and they trailed 2-1 to 0-3 at the break. However, a much improved performance in the scond half brought them right back into the game. Breaffy opened a 2 goal gap between the sides mid way through the second half and then Kiltimagh took over. They were well on top in the closing stages but time ran out on them as they pressed the Breaffy goal for the winning score.
